Which AI engines does Citably track?
Citably tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude. The free scan checks ChatGPT, Signal adds Gemini, and Scale covers all four engines.
Coverage follows your plan. The free public scan runs your prompts against ChatGPT. Signal scans ChatGPT and Gemini on an automatic weekly schedule. Scale runs all four tracked engines, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude, with automatic daily re-scans.
Every engine is tracked the same way: Citably sends your tracked prompts as real queries, records the full answer that comes back, and marks your brand as cited or not cited per prompt. The recorded answer is kept as a receipt, so any result can be verified by opening the response behind it. Nothing is simulated or estimated.
Two engines people ask about are not tracked directly. Bing Copilot benefits indirectly: ChatGPT pulls from Bing’s index, so visibility work that improves your ChatGPT presence tends to carry over to Copilot. Google AI Overviews tracking is on the roadmap. The honest detail on both lives in Does Citably track Bing Copilot and Google AI Overviews.
Each engine also has its own article with tier details: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.
Coverage differences are also why the same brand can hold different results per engine: each engine has its own retrieval habits and preferred sources. The receipts make those habits visible, which turns engine-by-engine differences from a mystery into a to-do list.
