What happens to my scan if I don’t sign up?

Quick answer

Nothing is kept permanently. The free scan shows your results in the browser, and they are gone once you move on unless you create an account to save them.

The free scan is deliberately stateless: no account, no card, no stored profile. You get the full result, your score, the per-prompt breakdown, and the recorded answers, and it lives in that browser session. Leave the page and it is gone.

You can always run another free scan later, and many people do. What you lose without an account is continuity. A fresh scan generates a fresh snapshot, but it cannot tell you whether you improved since last month, because there is no last month to compare against. The baseline, the trend line, and the Won, Lost, Held, and New citation states all need history, and history needs an account.

Saving is free. Create an account during or right after the scan and the results attach to your dashboard as your baseline; the same prompts stay tracked so every future scan is comparable. A card only enters the picture when you choose a paid plan for re-scans, more engines, and deployment.

The practical advice: if there is any chance you will care about this next month, save the scan. A baseline costs nothing and cannot be reconstructed later.

Nothing else is collected either: no account means no stored profile, no tracked prompts, and no follow-up. The free scan is genuinely free-standing, which is exactly why saving it is a deliberate choice rather than a default.
