Can I edit content before it publishes?
Yes. Every deployed asset can be reviewed and edited before it goes live, and on WordPress everything arrives as a draft by default, so nothing publishes without you.
There are two edit points, and you can use either or both. The first is inside Citably, before deployment: review the generated article or tool copy, adjust anything from a headline to a whole section, or regenerate if the angle is wrong. The second is in your CMS, after deployment: on a connected WordPress site every asset lands as a draft, which means the full WordPress editor is available before anything goes live.
Draft-by-default is deliberate. Your site is your storefront, and no automated system should publish to it silently. The workflow is always: Citably generates, you approve, your site publishes. On platforms without a direct connection the same control exists mechanically, since you paste or upload the content yourself.
In practice, the better your brand voice setup, the less editing the drafts need; most users converge on light touch-ups: a local detail here, a product nuance there.
One tip: make meaningful edits in the WordPress draft rather than after publishing. Edits after indexing are fine, but on Scale plans re-indexing after a big edit gets the updated version picked up faster.
Editing never risks double billing: reviewing, editing, and regenerating before deployment are part of the same action, and publishing the WordPress draft later adds nothing on top.
