What does the free scan check?

The free scan crawls your site, generates 10 high-intent buyer prompts, 5 commercial and 5 comparison, runs them against ChatGPT, and reports which answers cite your brand. Results arrive in about 60 seconds.

The scan starts from your URL. Citably crawls your site to understand what you sell, who buys it, and who you compete with, then generates the questions a real buyer would ask an AI engine. Five carry commercial intent (“best X for Y”, “X near me”, “which X should I buy”) and five are comparison questions that name the field you compete in.

Each prompt is sent to ChatGPT as a real query, and the full answer is recorded. The scan never simulates or estimates an answer; what you see is what the engine actually said at scan time, and every result opens into its receipt.

Your results include your AI Visibility Score, a per-prompt breakdown of Cited versus Not cited, and the sources the engine leaned on. That last part is the actionable bit: when you are not cited, the sources show you exactly who won the answer instead.
