How do I run my first scan?

Last updated: July 4, 2026Getting Started
Quick answer

Enter your website URL in the scan form on your dashboard or at the free AI Visibility Checker and click Check My Visibility. Your results appear in about 60 seconds.

A scan shows whether AI engines cite your brand when buyers ask real questions about your space. The free public scan checks ChatGPT. Paid plans widen the net: Signal scans ChatGPT and Gemini, and Scale covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.

1

Open your dashboard, or go straight to the public AI Visibility Checker. The public scan needs no account and no card.

2

Type your full website URL into the scan form, for example yourbrand.com.

3

Click Check My Visibility. Citably crawls your site, generates 10 buyer prompts from what it finds, and runs them against each engine on your plan.

4

Wait about 60 seconds while the scan runs. You do not need to keep the tab in focus.

5

Review your AI Visibility Score and the per-prompt results. Every result carries the recorded answer behind it, so you can open the receipt and verify exactly what the engine said.

Your first scan becomes your baseline. Citably keeps the same tracked prompts between scans, so every later scan is directly comparable and your trend line means something. Scan again after you publish new content, or let your plan re-scan automatically on its schedule.

If a scan sits unfinished for more than a few minutes, see My scan is stuck or failed.
